Northfield Square Mall
The Northfield Square Mall is located 55 miles away from O'Hare Airport, just off I-57 at Exit 315. It is a relatively small mall, having only 558,000 square feet of retail space on a single-level structure. Northfield Square was built in 1990 and it is now owned by Simon Property Group.
This mall is anchored by Carson Pirie Scott, Carson's Men, Children & Home, JC Penney and Sears. In addition to these there are more than 70 shops and services, including The Buckle, Bath & Body Works, Express, Deb, Finish Line, Victoria's Secret, and Famous Footwear. There are 7 restaurants in this mall, including Ruby Tuesday. The mall is generally open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Although parking is free, there are no covered parking lots, or valet parking services available. People with children can rent strollers for their little ones. This regional mall serves the areas of Bourbonnais, Bradley, and Kankakee. It is a typical suburban mall, frequented by many teenagers, but has a wide range of merchandise to choose from.
Those who want to take a break from shopping can watch a movie n the 10-screen Cinemark Movie Theatre, or visit the area. The Aspen Ridge Golf Course and the Sunridge Park are situated in the proximity of this mall.
There have been no notable security incidents in the recent past, except for the usual thefts and shopliftings.
